News!
OCTOBER 2018- So far this year we have had many wonderful things happen! Tripp, CH Camellia Wheels Up to Triple Creek, owned by George and Rosemary Wheatley, finished his championship this summer! We have campaigned Birdie, GCHB Camellia Love is Here to Stay, much of this year and have had many wonderful wins. Birdie has won three Specialty Best of Opposite Sex awards in Texas, Colorado, and Minnesota; she has become a Bronze Grand Champion; and she is a Top 10 Owner Handled English Setter, a Top 20 Ranked English Setter Breed points, via the Canine Chronicle, and is close to the Top 20 All Breed(Canine Chronicle). Rosebud, Camellia Take the Scenic Route, has had a great year also and is very close to finishing her championship! We also got the good news that Rosebud's hips received an OFA Excellent rating with normal elbows. We our planning for her to have a litter late 2018/early 2019!
DECEMBER 2017- Proud to say that our Birdie, GCH Camellia Love is Here to Stay finished her championship this past October by winning the Sporting Group at the Cen Tex Kennel Club in Austin!!!!! She followed that up by earning her Grand Championship in just two weekends!!! Our Minnie, Camellia's Icing on the Cake, won Winner's Bitch at the LSESC Specialty, earning her first major! Also this month Ryder( co owned with Jennifer Stastny) became a champion-CH Camellia Covenant Ticket to Ride! In mid December, Birdie and I headed down to Orlando, FL where I had the thrill of showing her in the National Championship!!! She made the cut and made me so proud!
DECEMBER 2016- We are so excited to announce that our Bettina is expecting puppies by Andrew, Am/Can Ch Marmaladesown Kindest Regards, via frozen semen. This lovely litter is due mid January!
NOVEMBER 2016- Rosebud had her first dog show, and we are proud to say that she took Best of Opposite in Sweepstakes at the Lone Star English Setter Club Sweeps! It was her very first time in the ring and she showed well! Ryder won first place in all of her regular classes!
AUGUST 2016- Jarret and I headed up to the English Setter Specialty shows in Minnesota. We took Birdie, Camellia Love is Here to Stay. Birdie showed very well and we had a great time visiting with friends.
JULY 2016- Early July saw our puppies head out to their new homes. Each one will be missed, but their new homes will be blessed! We kept a girl, Rosebud, Camellia Take the Scenic Route, from the litter. Watch for her sure to be many adventures here, on our web site. We also co-own the other little girl with my dear friend, Jennifer Stastny. Her name is Ryder, Camellia Covenant Ticket to Ride. You can follow her adventures here as well! In addition, we co-own Rory, Camellia Drive, Chip, and Putt, with the Arthur Family of Dallas. Look for him in the ring in the coming year. Tripp, Camellia Wheels Up to Triple Creek, another brother from the litter went to George and Rosemary Wheatley in Michigan. This beautiful boy will be strutting his stuff in the ring too!
APRIL 2016- Our springtime was blessed with the arrival of our new puppies from the Travis X Bettina litter. All five puppies were born healthy and of excellent weight. This litter of 5(3 boys and two girls) was a fun and easy litter.
JANUARY 2016- We are so excited to announce that Atticus has become our newest Champion, going Best of Winners from Bred-By at the Nolan River Kennel Club Show in early January!
DECEMBER 2015- At the Lone Star State Cluster in Dallas, Birdie earned several more points towards her championship, including two nice Best of Breed wins from the Bred-by class. She is maturing very nicely!
OCTOBER 2015- This month we attended our National Specialty held in Huron, Ohio. We took Bettina, Atticus, and Birdie. It was Birdie's very first show and she had a great time! All of the dogs showed very well and we were happy to hear many compliments on Bettina and her kids! At the end of the month Jarret and I took Bettina and Birdie to Austin for the Travis Co KC shows. Bettina and Jarret earned two Best of Breeds and a Reserve Best Junior in Show. And Birdie earned her first point!
AUGUST 2015 Welcome to our new website! The site was built by my good friend Sherri Doratti and we hope that y'all enjoy it! Please visit often to see updates to our pages and entries on the News page. Feel free to contact me anytime with questions about the breed of English Setters and to inquire about our breeding plans. We just returned from a very successful trip up to Minnesota for the Minnesota English Setter Club Specialties and Supported Entries, held in beautiful Lake Elmo! Jarret and I took Bettina and her boy Atticus. Atticus went Best of Opposite Sex in the Sweepstakes there and he was Reserve Winners Dog at the first Specialty. At the second Specialty, Jarret and Bettina went Best Junior Handler in Specialty! The final day, at the MESC Supported entry, Atticus was Best of Winners for a nice 4 point major, and Bettina was Select Bitch, for another GCH major. While there, we visited Target Field, very nice! We also brought home some tremendous fresh corn! We can't wait to go back next year!
